  • The #bonfire

    –––––––

    Nov 5

There once lived the proud Chechen ducks
Who gave each other funny little hugs
They bugged the bears with silly little pokes
Who #bonfired their homes into big puffs of smokes

    For a few lulled decades
    The ducks lived in clover
    Quacking cluelessly
At the bears’ gifted gold coffer

    Until “blow, bugles, blow!”
    The trouble comes a-knocking
    “Waddle, websters, waddle!”
    The war comes a-calling

    “But, but, …”
The chieftain fowl begins to fluster
    “No, but, …”
The grizzled bear begins to bluster

    “Bug-a-bear and you get a bug-a-boo!
Holler in your war-paint and give me a battle halloo!”

  • The #phantasm

    –––––––

    There once was a prestidigitator
Who worked his prestige for a dictator
He found himself fond of a foreign filly
“I’ll hornswoggle you out of your innocence, my missy!”

But the missy was no whit born yesterday so green and dim
She was gestated in a womb half a threescore year before him
So when he tried to tread the missy with a #phantasm so oneiric
She bristled, “Hold your horses! I don’t need a single swain to be so onanistic!”

  • The #illusion

    –––––––

    Nov 2

    Herzen called it “mysterium ignotum”
    Schopenhauer termed it “qualitas occulta”
Nietzsche, in Gay Science §112, insisted we never explained more than our ancestors did, that only our descriptions are better

Our intellectual scheme (an #illusion perhaps) to do away with what is the heart of all mysteries – the mystery of nature

  • Three Little #Wolves & The Big Bad Bunny

    –––––––

    Nov 2

    Kari-Lise Alexander

One day, a big bad bunny came along. She saw the little wolf in his house of straws.

“Let me in, let me in,” said the big bad bunny.
“Your fingers are straws! Tiny, tiny straws! I want to savour the taste of you!”

“I won’t!”, said the first little wolf.
“Not by the claw on my prissy-paw-paw!”

Then the bunny flashed her teeth, with her front tooth a little chipped.

    “Then I’ll hop.
    And I’ll bop.
And I’ll burn your house down!”, growled the big bad bunny.

So she hopped and she bopped and she burned the house down! The first little wolf scampered away to join his brother in the house made of sticks. The big bad bunny followed him and knocked on the house made of sticks.

“Unbar this door! I’m going to hoppity-hop-hop-in!”, said the big bad bunny.
“You’re full of sticks! Big, big sticks! I want to savour the taste of you!”

“No! No! No!”, cried the second little wolf.
“Not by the claw on my pudgy-paw-paw!”

Then the bunny narrowed her chinky eyes, with her right one a little asymmetrical to the left.

    “Then I’ll hop.
    And I’ll bop.
And I’ll burn your house down!”, snarled the big bad bunny.

So she hopped and she bopped and she burned the house down! The bunny tried to catch both wolves at once but she was too greedy and got neither! The two little wolves, brothers-in-arms, skedaddled away once more.

“Let’s get out of Dodge! She’s a Big Bad Broad!”

The big bad bunny, left to her own devices, sauntered down the drag path to a house made of bricks.

“I’m hungry! I’m unquenched! I’m drying up faster than Egypt!”, cried the big bad bunny.
“You’re stout as bricks! You’re stoic with chicks! I want to savour the taste of you!”

“No! My dear, no!”, ejaculated the third little wolf.
“Not by the claw on my puritanical-paw-paw!”

Then the bunny unsheathed her claws and chewed on each tip, creating ten saw-toothed blades under her menacing silhouette.

    “Then I’ll hop.
    And I’ll bop.
And I’ll burn your house down!”, snickered the big bad bunny.

So she hopped and she bopped. And she hopped and hopped and she bopped and bopped. She did her hoppity hop and bopped her boppity bop, but the house would not burn down. This made the big bad bunny very angry. She climbed onto the roof and clambered down the chimney. Without looking, she fell onto the smoking hot brazier full of home-cooked shashlyk. The grill hissed loudly and so did the big bad bunny.

“Ah, more tender meat to skewer and serve on this very platter!”, the third little wolf flashed her a boyish grin.

“Feast on me, darling. I worked the shaft so well. I’ll make for a great supper!”

The third little wolf dined on the big bad bunny and they lived happily ever after in the house of bricks.

  • The #Wolf

    A #wolf has caught himself a rabbit
In a little red riding hood outfit
He bares his fangs and gives her flowers
She stares at him and reluctantly glowers

    · · ─ ·✶· ─ · ·

    A #wolf has ensnared a hare with a carrot
She gets the stick if she behaves like a harlot
He dangles her from his maws
She bats him away with her paws
They head into a thick foliage and hatch a secret plot

    · · ─ ·✶· ─ · ·

The #wolves have a deadly penchant for game
Until they come across an undainty dame

“You white trash! Shirtless dwarf! Former President of La La Land!”
“I’m Daenerys! I’m going to burn all your shit down!”
“There’s going to be no oil in your cauldron! Fire and smoke, but no oil! Oil goes poof!”

The #wolves have a deadly penchant for dame
Until they come across an undastardly game
