If it’s black fight back, if it’s brown lie down, if it’s white goodnight.
— The 3-Bear Rule
We are not a toxic macho (high sexism, high misogyny) but mainly chivalrous culture (mid to low sexism, low to no misogyny) so maybe that’s why the men are all just soft fluffy bears even the Don Juan type …

Because Anton screws with my work, when I’m over there I will not as I previously messaged him on Thursday “walk around wearing a burlap sack without makeup on”. I will do exactly the opposite. I will prance around like a sex kitten – or a Jessica Rabbit – so much so that he will begin to think that this is after all a sexpionage-cum-sabotage play […] and I the Poison Apple (or the Evil Queen and our liaison amoureuse the Poison Apple).

Interestingly, paint on wood can be historically so outsized as a medium as with a traditional altarpiece or a triptych. Tatiana, that was her name, had done a crochet painting reproduction of Klimt’s The Kiss and stated it as the cheeky reason she had overslept earlier. Markus our boss commented on her post saying that the painting was 180 cm in its original dimension and that if it were up to him, he would have done Mondrian instead. I messaged him later saying, “I’m thinking of vacationing in Europe next year with my new boyfriend. Didn’t Tanya also go to Belgium last year if I remember correctly?”

Speaking of swimming, I have completely defeated my pool shark phobia (entry: June 6th, “the shark in the pool” […]) […] There was a period when I became obsessed with the story of Cameron Robbins […] This was about a year and a half ago. I mean how could people not see? On the surface, it looks like he just drowned and drifted, but if you look more closely beneath the surface, the sharks were feasting on him.
